We’ve come a long way since founders Mark Ellis and Martin Churchward (the ‘two Ms’) joined forces in 1987 to sell end of line clearance sports products. We’re now an international discount fashion retailer with over three million active customers and 34 million website visits a year.

Our success is down to our commitment to seek out the biggest fashion and sports brands at the lowest prices with up to 75% off recommended retail prices all year round – it’s an exciting business and one in which everybody plays an important part.

WEEE Regs Compliance

We take compliance with environmental regulations conscientiously and as such are members of the Valpak “Distributor Take-back Scheme” for compliance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006. Under this scheme the following advice for recycling WEEE products is offered to customers:

• Batteries for disposal should be placed in appropriate receptacles which are generally provided at most major supermarkets.

• Electrical/electronic products may be disposed of at Designated Collection Facilities (DCF).

The WEEE symbol indicates that the produce should not be disposed of in domestic bins for onward transfer to landfill sites, but should be disposed of in a WEEE specific waste stream (ie at a DCF).

Customers are encouraged to assist in this compliance as we are all responsible for the protection of both the environment and human health as WEEE items can contain hazardous substances which may be released if disposed of incorrectly.
