Jack Wills Brand Guide
Named after one of the co-founders’ grandparents, Jack Wills is known for its high-quality, heritage-inspired wardrobe classics. Founded in the seaside town of Salcombe back in 1999, they quickly became one of Britain’s most well-known and sought after brands up and down the High Street.
Fast-forward to 2005, when they’d moved their operations from Salcombe to the bright lights of London where the brand hosted a fashion show at Kensington Roof Gardens and celebrated opening ten stores across the UK. The same year, the first ever Winter Seasonnaires were recruited. A role that was created to sell both the Jack Wills clothing and lifestyle by seeking out adventures and hosting events. It was a simple concept: work hard, play harder.
The iconic Seasonnaires ran across both Winter and Summer breaks for students who really understood their Fabulously British culture and acted as a brand ambassador in what was dubbed one of the best internships on offer to students at the time.
By 2007, Jack Wills hosted their Big Air Fashion Show in the Alps with help from their Seasonnaires and adopted the now-iconic pheasant as part of their logo to go alongside their classic blue and pink stripes, still seen throughout their stores today.
In 2012 the brand celebrated hitting a landmark of having 50 stores open internationally, pushing their university outfitter offering of hoodies, tees and jeans to a global audience.
