M and M Direct Ltd is a fast-paced discount online and catalogue fashion retailer, selling a huge range of fashion, sports and lifestyle brands,
based in Herefordshire. We currently have the following roles available at our Head Office in Leominster.
Digital Design Manager – Permanent
Reporting to the Head of e-Commerce, you will be responsible for the management, planning and execution of all digital marketing creative. You will also be working closely with
the Brand Manager and Marketing Communications team to appropriately execute brand guidelines, including the look, feel and tone of voice through all creative execution.
Main duties will include:
- Managing the Digital Creative process and creative plan in line with brand guidelines, across all channels and devices, ensuring deadlines are met
- Monitoring and ensuring the team work to timeframes specified in Web Creative briefs, ensuring deadlines are met
- Overseeing the creative execution and coding of all digital Marketing activity
- Managing the process for design and coding all customer facing creative such as homepages, landing pages, emails in line with brand and SEO guidelines with the Brand and Communications Managers
- Working to ensure brand synergy across the different channels and devices
- Working with the IT team to optimise the image and content process across all channels and devices
- Driving to improve the usability and accessibility of all digital devices through MVT testing analysis
- Day to day management of the Digital team
We are seeking individuals who possess:
- Significant experience in a digital creative environment
- A good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software, XHTML and Web-standards based design
- Experience with user-interface principles, information architecture, MVT and SEO
- A high degree of commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills through creative presentation, written and verbal
- An assertive approach
- The ability to give creative direction and follow projects to completion
- Previous experience of managing a team
Budget management skills, experience of content rich design and mobile / app design is also desirable.
Web Content Merchandiser – Permanent
We are currently seeking to recruit a Web Content Merchandiser to join the eCommerce team within our Marketing department.
Reporting to the Head of eCommerce, the role primarily involves optimising the customer user journey on the site through banner placement, website content merchandising and
optimising product search on the site.
Main duties will include:
- Managing and monitoring site content and landing pages across all channels
- Managing the content release process for all websites
- Updating and monitoring site SEO content
- Optimising, monitoring and checking website copy in line with brand guidelines
- Monitoring product, search and page performance across all channels and implement changes to improve conversion
We are seeking individuals who possess:
- Experience of working in an online environment, preferably sports or fashion based
- A high level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
Ideally, you will also have a strong analytical approach and be experienced in the use of Excel.
Software Support Analyst - Permanent
We are currently recruiting an additional Software Support Analyst to join our IT team.
Main duties will include:
- Defining and implementing support and development processes with third parties
- Defining business requirements and recommending solutions, for all requested changes to the systems within the remit of the role
- Creating and maintaining appropriate documentation on the organisation’s applications, settings, configurations and architecture
- Providing technical support and/or management of third parties; including out of hours, as required
- Supporting DBA, QA and Development functions to document, test and implement changes to the systems, within the remit of the role
- Analysing, publishing and managing risks and issues, within the remit of the role
Essential skills and experience:
- 2-5 years experience in a fast moving environment, within retail or a high transaction based business
- Windows Server admin skills
- Windows .net and SQL awareness
Desirable skills and experience:
- Microsoft .net and SQL in an ecommerce environment
- Mailbrain and/or Unidata
- Manhattan WMS
- Management of and reporting from corporate management information systems
Business Analyst – Permanent
We are currently seeking an additional Business Analyst to join our IT team. The scope of the role is to analyse the production of the main deliverables covering ecommerce and other
key domains within the business.
Main duties will include:
- Conducting feasibility studies, as required, identifying high level requirements and working with Architect/ Developers to outline possible solution(s)
- Capturing, documenting and agreeing prioritised business requirements for systems development, to include business benefits identified by the sponsor and areas of business change
- Agreeing and documenting Business Change across the organisation describing new, amended and redundant business processes. To include training and documentation where required
- Providing business knowledge and support to the Testing team during system testing, uat, warranty and handover to support
- Supporting Programme management team in delivery of projects and programme, including PIRs (Project Implementation Reviews)
- Liaising with MandM internal customers at all levels and with external software and service providers
- Providing support and information to other members of the IT team to assist with their duties
Candidates must have previous business analysis experience (3 years +); training in one or more of the formal business analysis methodologies and demonstrable expertise in leading
workshops and chairing sessions with appropriate control and robustness.
With a strong team ethic and can-do approach, your key strengths will be in analysis and problem solving. Also essential is good communication skills and experience of website sales in
a direct marketing environment.
