INTERNATIONAL MARKETING EXECUTIVE - GERMANY

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our Marketing department as International Marketing Executive (Germany). Reporting to the International Trading Manager, you will be responsible for executing the marketing strategy on a daily basis to drive growth and deliver sales primarily within the German market but also within the Austrian market.

You will work alongside third parties and internal departments to deliver a strong, relevant offer to the market. Customer insight, monitoring competitor activity and knowledge of seasonal events is critical to ensure our focus and approach is appropriate and appealing.

You will be an organised, confident individual who works well as part of a team and under pressure.

Main duties will include:

  • Ensuring all German marketing activity: digital, print, above and below the line advertising is suitably translated and relevant to the German markets whilst being in-line with brand guidelines

  • Own the German Trading Plan, aligning with UK activity but localised where necessary to maximise sales. Responsible for translating and coordinating all German site content, email communications and social media activity

  • Manage German third party relationships and activity on a daily basis, analysing effectiveness and making suggestions to improve

  • Understanding the key drivers within the German and Austrian markets and investigating new opportunities to deliver sales

  • Oversee German website activity and functionality understanding the customer journey and making suggestions for improvements using insights from customers via the Bilingual CS team where appropriate

  • Monitor and report on key metrics regarding the German channel, to include: traffic, revenue, conversion rate, AOV and GP, highlighting areas of concern, providing theories and recommendations to maximise sales

  • Monitor and report on competitor activity within the German market on a weekly basis

  • Assist the Marketing Managers in defining the proposition, trading and service approach for Germany to include marketing mix, pricing model, service requirements, payment and website functionality, ensuring these are all relevant and competitive within the market

Skills and experience required:

  • Fluent German and English language skills essential (both written and verbal)

  • A degree level qualification or equivalent

  • Experience in a marketing/retail role, ideally with international experience and/or knowledge of international markets

  • A sound understanding of the German market

  • The ability to communicate well at all levels (both written and verbal)

  • Other language skills would be advantageous

Location and hours:

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm and will be based in Leominster, Herefordshire.
